After Kikinda, the travelling exhibition RAIL4V4+V arrived in Aleksandrovo on October 24, 2024. This exhibition is part of the project “Railway Heritage for Engaging the Young Generation,” supported by the Visegrad Fund, the European Commission, and the Council of Europe. It is being showcased as part of European Heritage Day, which is the most celebrated participatory cultural event across Europe.
The exhibition highlights the railway heritage of the Visegrad countries and Vojvodina. Visitors can scan QR codes on posters that feature 50 railway sites, allowing them to embark on a virtual train journey through the region. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to view these locations through the lens of young people who participated in an international photo contest organized as part of the project. The special guest was Jovan Bajić, a young architect and researcher of industrial heritage. He recently returned from an Interrail architectural tour of Europe and shared his experiences.
The exhibition will remain open until October 27, operating daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., after which it will continue its journey to Hungary.
