Mokrin house, March 7-9, 2025

The closing meeting brought together all project consortium members for a two-day program focused on reflection, evaluation, cultural engagement, and professional exchange. The event included:
• Presentations of project results by each consortium member.
• A thematic discussion on youth engagement, sustainability, and the future of railway heritage in the V4+V region.
• Site visits to significant railway and industrial heritage locations in Mokrin and Kikinda.
• Cultural and informal activities to reinforce partnerships and community ties.

The meeting served as a collective reflection on how the project fulfilled its aims—engaging youth, promoting railway heritage, and fostering cross-border collaboration. Discussions were held on the position of youth in railway heritage development, confirming their role not only as audience but as co-creators. Partners collectively formulated conclusions and recommendations for future initiatives in railway heritage and sustainable regional development.
Visits to Mokrin railway station, Kikinda’s dry mill, roof tile factory, and railway infrastructure offered rich, in-situ learning experiences.
Interaction with Serbian professionals highlighted local narratives and practices. These encounters expanded the project’s impact beyond the core consortium and encouraged cross-generational and cross-disciplinary exchange.
The event reinforced consortium cohesion and allowed partners to explore ideas for future cooperation. New contacts were made with local Serbian heritage professionals and institutions, extending the project’s legacy.

It was the last station of our V4+V Virtual Train Journey supported by the Visegrad Fund, the European Commission and the Council of Europe, and is shown as part of the European Heritage Day, the most celebrated participatory cultural event throughout Europe.
